One of the most recognizable Loyola Ramblers isn’t a player, but their most steadfast supporter, Sister Jean Dolores Schmidt. Sister Jean, a Sister of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, changed her mind on retirement in 1994, instead answering a higher call to support student-athletes. That heavenly call led her to her now-famous role as the men’s basketball team chaplain. Sister Jean's presence on the sideline throughout Loyola’s 2018 Final Four run captivated the nation, and we’re honoring her and the 2018 team with this original illustration.
